About the Agile Business Analyst (BA, Business Analyst, Agile) role:

This is a key role within the Energy Platform Department to deliver technical and process solutions to customer/business issues within the systems that support our business
You'll be working within a multi-skilled agile team to deliver working application software that excites and delights both our internal customer service agents and our external customers.
You'll be working on a platform that has a focus on reducing cost to serve customers. Typical projects will cut across a wide set of solution domains including: registrations, provisioning, smart metering, reads, rating, billing and wider utility industry changes

Responsibilities of the Agile Business Analyst (BA, Business Analyst, Agile):
?Establish effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of business priorities and to support the delivery of business value
?Facilitate workshops and discussions to effectively gather requirements and achieve a joint understanding of needs
?Facilitate the prioritisation and management of the teams' product and sprint backlogs
?Analyse data to recommend system/service improvements and make informed decisions
?Establish functional and non-functional requirements and document them appropriately
?Identify any risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies
?Work as part of a self-organising scrum team and support the team in delivery
?Encourage agile behaviours and promote the concept of a minimum viable product
?Model business processes to validate that solutions are fit for purpose

Desirables of the Agile Business Analyst (BA, Business Analyst, Agile):
?Significant experience as a Business Analyst with a solid understanding of Agile / SCRUM methodologies
?Experience of working within a fast paced software environment with a clear focus on customer services
?Proficient in stakeholder management, able to be sensitive to the needs of each stakeholder yet comfortable to challenge where appropriate
?Proficient in writing user stories to articulate the business needs in a format that is easily consumable by the scrum team
?Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
?A related Scrum certification such as Certified Scrum Product Owner would be considered an advantage
?Any experience of working in the utilities industry would also be considered an advantage
