My client is part of a global windows, doors and timber installations organisation and they are looking to add several an experienced Field Service Engineers to their team.
The successful candidate will provide direct customer service, detailed reports and surveys and assess the validity of claims as well as undertake repair and installation work in a safe manner and to a professional standard nationwide.
Main duties of the role include:
To attend customer properties and validate claims based on information received
To carry out an accurate survey, take photographs, specify materials and parts required to complete a job including highlighting repairs, when possible
To competently carry out repair / fitting work in a safe manner and to the required standard in line with engineer grade
To proactively identify and suggest preventative and corrective actions and initiatives
To be able to work independently or as part of a team to meet company requirements and customer expectations
To demonstrate a flexible and positive attitude towards getting the job done
To deliver a high standard of customer service at all times
To be an advocate for safe practice, including identifying hazards &control measures
To nominate available days to cover out of hours emergency secure work as and when required
To be available to work away or participate in the call out rota one week in every four to accommodate customer needs
To be a professional individual, be a good ambassador for the company and the Insurance Companies.
To work in line with company procedure
Required competencies for the role:
High level of technical skill (specially looking for experience with PVC, Glass, Timber, Conservatory Roofs, Garage Doors and/or Aluminium)
Planning and Organising
Customer Awareness
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Customer focused
Perseverance
47.5 hours per week - London Area / Permanent
Potential earning up to £41,000 including bonus and callout
25 days holiday per year, options for company shares schemes
