The School - Severe Learning Difficulties Teacher
This specialist SEN school located in North London has for the past 40 years been providing a great educational experience to the 230 pupils that attend. Students that join this school go on to make excellent progress due to the warm, caring and safe environment that they are taught in. Leadership and teachers at this school give 100% on a daily basis to ensure these children have as many opportunities as possible to achieve and succeed.
The school support pupils from ages 4 to 16 who have various needs. Class sizes that are a maximum of 8 and set to ability level ensure that each class teacher has enough time to give all students the time and energy they need to achieve. Each class teacher also is support by teaching assistants to ensure that the pupils can achieve their personal goals.
The Role - Severe Learning Difficulties Teacher
The school would like to appoint a SEN teacher who has worked in an SEN setting/provision but are open to consider teachers from a mainstream school who has a passion for special needs education. You will be responsible of making sure that students stay engaged and motivated in lessons along with ensuring that teaching assistants are being managed well and line with the needs of the school in order get the best results.
