Technical Author

Our global software and professional solutions client is looking for a motivated technical author to join their small, friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your technical authoring career in an award-winning and leading technology company.

You will develop comprehensive online help using MadCap Flare for our client's range of innovative products, and liaise with software developers and other specialists to gain an understanding of both the technical and operational aspects of the software. You will also contribute to product quality control for the company's products.

As the successful candidate, you will have:

• One year's+ experience as a technical author in software environment.
• The ability to quickly and confidently grasp new software and concepts.
• Excellent attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with staff across all levels of the business.

Any of the following would be beneficial, but are definitely not essential:

• A work or academic background in science or engineering.
• Experience of MadCap Flare and/or RoboHelp.
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Experience of image creation/manipulation software such as Paintshop Pro, MS Visio, etc.
