Our client specialises in regeneration, construction and refurbishment within the Public Sector and to other commercial clients. They are a top tier social housing contractor working to the Decent Homes Standard, improving and modernising major housing stock around London and further a field. Along side these core activities they are leaders in Partnering, Design and Construction and M&E Services Installations. They are now seeking to appoint two Quantity Surveyors for their Cyclical Decorations and Planned Maintenance Department to take responsibility for commercial activities on dedicated projects throughout the operational region.

Graduate / Assistant/ Intermediate QS. New Addington.

Based in their regional office you will work as no.2 and report into a QS / Snr QS on planned maintenance projects throughout the South London, Kent and Surrey areas.

Quantity Surveyor, Essex / London Borders.

Based in the offices on the Greater London / Essex Borders you will work on a variety of planned maintenance projects and be reporting into a Snr QS.

The roles requires:-

• You to be responsible for all the commercial aspects of projects from appraisal and validation of subcontractor applications.
• Cost valuation reporting
• Submission & negotiations of Final Accounts
• Maintain established profit margins
• Price all works within current market conditions
• Improve, where possible, company profits
• Manage target costs
• Preparation of monthly cost reconciliation for Divisional Manager
• Complete site visits
• Prepare tender based on estimating procedures
• Traditional QS duties as required.

You will:-

• Ideally have experience within Cyclical Maintenance /Refurbishment Projects
• Be HNC/Degree qualified or have relevant UK experience
• Able to deliver projects from initial tender through to final account
• Ability to work within a fast paced and pressurised environment
• Excellent communication, negotiation and client facing skills
• Commercially and contractually aware
• Highly motivated and keen to progress
• Stable work history
• Full UK Drivers Licence
