Cordius are recruiting for a Facilities Manager to lead, direct and be responsible for managing and continually improving the service delivery of a cost effective maintenance provision to a Warehouse and Data Centre

The company is a multinational retailer who sells high quality products.

In this role you will be part of the FM team you will implement the agreed FM maintenance strategy, whilst defining and influencing regional strategies.
This new and exciting role will require you to manage your region’s maintenance budget to deliver the approved operating plan whilst forecasting future budgetary requirements.

The role will entail management and delivery of maintenance to the building fabric and its services in accordance with Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules which may be in compliance with legislation.
You will actively respond to maintenance breakdowns which minimises asset downtime by reviewing repair requirement, cost estimates, instructing and follow up. Another key aspect is to develop and direct a positive relationship with the Retail clients and the supplier’s base to make effective communication evident. Also you will need to provide strategic and technical advice to support the Store Maintenance Engineers, stores and supply base throughout the region area.
Finally you should ensure that local delivery of maintenance meets with all policies and standards set by the business and is in accordance with the company’s health and Safety plan, government legislative and legal obligations.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Degree qualification relevant to Facilities Management and/or a building services technical discipline including Mechanical, Electrical or Refrigeration Engineering

• Membership of CIBSE, BIFM or an equivalent Facilities Management or Engineering institution

• Ability to work independently, balance multiple maintenance issues simultaneously and communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation

• Proven business acumen and experience of demonstrating high levels of budgetary control

• Essential good communication & people management skills

• Ideally possesses experience of multi-site, retail property, Facilities Management

• Must have a high degree of PC literacy with advanced skill levels with Microsoft products (inc. Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
