Pricing and Forecasting Manager (Energy)

A Pricing and Forecasting Manager is required to join a rapidly expanding company in Coventry on a permanent basis. The role offers a salary of up to £60,000 plus a generous benefits package and the chance to work for a highly reputable name within the Energy industry.

Essential skills:

• Highly numerate and analytical background
• A strong Knowledge of UK power markets
• Superb expertise in commercial/analytical data manipulation
• Strong user of Access/VBA/Excel for modelling
• Superb communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing high level relationships
• Proven background delivering to tight deadlines in a high-pressure environments

Desirable skills:

• The ideal candidate will understand the drivers of power and gas demand of domestic customers (customer profiles, time of the year etc.) and therefore develop and update accurate forecasting models
• Experience using Oracle based systems

Day to day role:

• As Pricing and Forecasting Manager you will be responsible for assisting with development of forecasting methodologies, processes and systems, monitoring power markets and providing management with regular updates. You must be willing to take a hands on approach to data when necessary, managing and conducting data and cost-based analysis where required, as well as working with external stakeholders to contribute towards the development of a new trading strategy for the business.
