The successful candidate would ideally have experience in ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) as this is their main concern, however, in the event of a strong candidate this may be flexible. This position is to start from September and is ideally suited to a Teacher looking for a long term contract to permanent position.
The Class Teacher will have a proven track record of delivering inspirational and stimulating lesson plans and you must have excellent curriculum knowledge.
A vital and developing school based in Bromley are currently looking to employ qualified Secondary school teachers with solid ASD experience to teach across a range of subjects. Predominantly concerned with Key Stage 3 & 4, delivered in small classes (approx. 6 pupils), with excellent and growing facilities. The successful applicant would then be working under a motivated and highly effective leadership team, known for its nurturing approach to learning with the in-class assistance of a TA.
The School provides a centre of excellence in education and development for children aged between 5 and 19 years of age who have been diagnosed with an autistic spectrum condition (ASC).
The School strive to provide effective specialist education and support to pupils on the Autistic Spectrum and to their families, enabling pupils to achieve their full potential in education and in life outside school.
The goal is to break down the barriers to learning that our students encounter and to help them to equip themselves for as independent a life as possible outside of school.
The approach is based on an eclectic fusion of child-centred and autism-specific strategies and techniques, with a clear focus on improving communication and interaction skills through positive interventions
