About this Role:
Experienced Design Manager required by the busy London and Langley offices of this International Main Contractor to manage the design and build process for projects from tender plus second stage preconstruction, and throughout construction on site.
You will be responsible for management of the design development for schemes; Appointment and management of consultant design team; Regular liaison with client, architect, consultants and the construction teams; Agreement of information required schedule; Review of construction design information for buildability, compliance with contractors proposals, employers requirements, budget, current building legislation, value engineering opportunities; Issue resolution.
This is a head office based role, requiring regular visits to, rather than being based on site.
This is a project focussed, rather than problem solving position.
About the Company/Client/Project:
The client is a World-Leading International Main Contractor, and has experience and a proven track record in the delivery of complex Civil Engineering Projects in the Highways, Rail, Structures and MOD sectors, ranging from £5m to £50m in London
Requirements including certificates and Qualifications:
From an Engineering or Site Management background, you will possess excellent communication and negotiations skills, strong planning and problem solving ability, initiative and a positive approach. In terms of character, you will be a highly driven, positive and ambitious individual.
You will ideally have a proven track record of successful project delivery with a Top 20 Main Contractor in a Design Coordination / Design Management role.
High standards, attention to detail and the drive will be very well rewarded with excellent salary, benefits, promotional and development prospects.
