City based US law firm is looking to hire a new Procurement Manager to lead and develop the implementation of a procurement strategy to achieve best price and value for money, provide specialist procurement skills and techniques across a wide range of products and services and drive value for money negotiations with suppliers optimising the product and service quality. The scope of the role will include all office related products and services, facilities services contracts, outsourcing, equipment, private cars, travel and fit outs. Responsibilities will include supplier and contract management for International Offices outside of the US, undertake tender process for departments setting up or reviewing supplier arrangements, ensure compliance with firm’s procurement process, ensure achievements result in bottom line savings for the firm and improved supplier relationships/service standards, apply best practice wherever possible, i.e., goods and services ordered within agreed contract parameters, consolidation of suppliers, products or product alternatives, management information, i.e., spend data and savings, introduce and maintain a contracts database and identify opportunities for generating further value. Applicants ideally need to be a Member of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a purchasing role with plus previous legal or professional services experience within a similar role is essential
