A well know FTSE100 client is moving towards Hadoop implementation and currently doing pilot projects. As part of this initiative we will need a Senior technical architect to architect and design their Hadoop landscape and integration with other DW.

The re will be responsible for the technical architecture and implementation of the evolving Data Lake architecture.

Key Responsibilities

1. Bring in the big data expertise to the table and provide architectural inputs and guide through implementation.
2. Look at the big picture and provide robust and flexible architecture options
3. Run and own the end-end technical implementation of the Hadoop program with high customer satisfaction
4. Work as a team with other leads and developers and guide them to success

Person Requirements

1. Strong technical knowledge on Hadoop distributed architecture, file systems, map-reduce architecture.
2. Expertise in working with various Hadoop supported file types such as Avro, JSon, ORC etc.
3. Experience in working with UDF's
4. Ability to guide and support development teams in arriving at the correct solution for problems.
5. Architecture and design guidance to the leadership team.
6. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
7. Strong attitude towards Coding, Problem resolving and Solution building
8. Hands on experience in Big data implementations using Hadoop
9. Excellent communication can do attitude and influencing team player who can manage influencing client and business relationship.
10. Should have previous experience working directly with business.
11. Previous experience working as a Hadoop technical architect.
