Project Coordinator (Charity / Criminal Support) 

Pact is a national charity which supports people affected by imprisonment. They provide practical and emotional support to prisoners' children and families, and to prisoners themselves. Operating in nearly 50 prisons and in communities across England and Wales, they play a crucial part in supporting prisoners and their families to make a fresh start and to minimise the harm that can be caused by imprisonment on offenders, families and communities. 

Position: Project Coordinator – Circle of Support and Accountability Basic Caring Communities 
Location: Peckham, London with travel around London required 
Role type: Full time, Permanent 
Salary: £30,888 per annum

About the Role: 
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced person to work for Pact leading our Circles of Support and Accountability and Basic Caring Communities (BaCC) projects. 

Both projects deploy groups of highly trained and skilled volunteers to offer support and accountability to adults who have offended. Circles targets adults who have been convicted of sexual offences and offers up to 18 months of support from groups of four volunteers, with BaCC providing short duration (3 month) support to adults who pose a low or medium risk of harm delivered by group of four volunteers motivated by their Christian faith. 

About You: 
The work is complex and challenging, but can be very rewarding. The successful candidate will be expected to have a high level of expertise to be able to lead these projects, including: 

- Experience of working with sex offenders including an understanding of the assessment, treatment and management of sex offenders 
- A good understanding of the Criminal Justice system, 
- Experience and knowledge to be able to manage risk and implement safeguarding, lone working, personal safety and professional boundaries practices 
- Experience of case management 
- Strong experience of delivery training, and recruiting, managing and supervising volunteers 

You will be empowering and non-judgmental, and relate with warmth and sensitivity to people from a diverse range of backgrounds, including people who have offended, professionals working in the Criminal Justice system, and others. You must be organised and be able to prioritise work to respond to the workload demands. You will work closely with our Circles partner, Circles South East, as well as other agencies and must be confident negotiating and building networks with them and other partners. 

The successful candidate will be based in Peckham but will operate across London. The post will be full time and permanent (subject to funding); some flexible working hours in the evenings and weekends may be necessary.
