We are currently looking for a highly motivated registered nurse to work within a very reputable private hospital in London.The hospital is a state of the art private facility and is renowned for the standards of its its patient care. It has an excellent reputation for innovation and development and that reputation has been built on by patient experience. They are currently in the process of progressing with a major redevelopment programme.
What you'll be doing:
* As a Sister you will assist the Lead Nurse in the effective operational management of the department,
* You will assist with the organisation and deliver high quality nursing care from admission to discharge and provide clinical leadership to the nursing team.
* To manage nurses and nursing services by organising the duty rota and patient allocation according to dependency/acuity model, anticipating requirements when clinical activity increases/decreases, assisting in forward planning of absences and the effective use of temporary staff ensuring correct grade and skill mix are in place to deliver care.
* To provide consistent, clear, clinical and professional leadership and act as a mentor for all staff demonstratiing professional awareness.
* Have an advanced working knowledge of emergency policies including cardiac arrest and fire and ensure that staff working within the department are aware of these.
* Participate in the Site Lead rota ensuring appropriate cover at all times.
* Deputise for the Lead Nurse.
What you'll need:
* Applicants must have valid NMC PIN Number
* You will have experience in cardiac or general Adult Intensive Care
* You will have a Mentorship qualification.
* You will have a current ALS or EPALS certificate or willing to work towards this in the first 6 months.
