Database Administrator - SQL/Oracle - Botley - SC Cleared

Database Administrator required to join the UK's leading engineering support services organisation. They are currently undergoing an exciting period of growth and are expecting a substantial increase in their user base over the course of the next year. Based in Botley, the role offers an attractive £40-45,000 per annum plus benefits.

Key Skills

The ideal candidate for this role will be experienced in maintaining SQL environments for an enterprise class system, with formal database training and qualifications in MS SQL or Oracle. You will have knowledge of Microsoft SQL server 2012/2014, and experience of operational running of multi-database infrastructure. Understanding of IT management processes is essential as is ITIL Foundation v3, while experience of ERP/SAP/IFS is desirable. The successful candidate will also be eligible to qualify for SC clearance.

Responsibilities

You will install SQL as per design and standards, and maintain database environments. The role will involve ensuring the Database platforms operate within agreed performance criteria, and maintain the operational and technical Integrity of all Live Database Environments. Duties also include supporting Technical Architects in the design process and maintaining operational and technical documentation to an agreed standard.
