Recruitment Bug are working with a leading organisation that helps Colleges and Training Providers get more young people into Apprenticeships and Vocational Programmes. We are recruiting for Business Development Managers, based around the country, to help develop new opportunities from existing and brand new clients. The BDMs will be responsible for promoting the full range of services to their portfolio of College and Training Provider clients.

The main service is the subscription to an online recruitment platform. Candidates with experience in selling online platforms / software solutions or have experience in the education & skills / apprenticeships markets will be looked upon favourably.

The salary for this role is £25k basic, plus car allowance (circa £5k) plus an uncapped bonus. The role is home based with regional travel.

Job Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Head of Business Development to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Respond to and follow up sales enquiries using personal visits and web meetings as appropriate.
- To make outbound calls in line with campaigns and on-going call cycles to establish and maintain contact with potential and actual customers.
- To visit potential customers to secure the sale of the full range of the Companys services
- Maintain and develop existing customers through planned individual account support, and liaison with other internal staff.
- Maintain and develop the computerised customer and prospect database.
- To continually monitor customers use of the services and provide support using the full range of Company res.
- To provide feedback for new services as well as suggesting improvements where required.
- To help develop marketing campaigns when required
- To attend a variety of networking and industry events and represent the Company.
- Report on activities and provide relevant management information through a weekly sales funnel.
- Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys.
- Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organisational development.

Knowledge/Experience required:
- Clear and effective communicator with the ability to quickly build strong relationships
- Relevant experience in a business development / sales role
- Good understanding of business to business sales process
- Must have full, current driving license
- Relevant professional qualifications
- Excellent inter-personal communication and negotiation skills
- Self-motivation and ability to organise own time effectively
- Maintain a current knowledge of FE / Skills education issues and policies
