C++/Perl Software Developer (C++ OOP STL Boost Perl) working for an International Software Engineering House based in Surrey, with Clients projects Internationally.

JOB ROLES:

• The C++/Perl Software Developer (OOP STL Boost Perl) will be responsible for developing code for projects from a technological perspective, ensuring that the code quality and software development life cycle activities are consistent with the company Standards and Quality procedures.
• C++/Perl Software Developer (OOP STL Boost Perl) She/he need to be passionate about creating commercially viable high performance technological solutions that meet the needs of demanding, large, global, multi-national customers

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Good Degree IT, Software Engineering degree
• 2+ year's strong and wide C++ development using OOP including templates, STL, Boost within Real Time environment
• Experience of using Perl Scripting or programming - is a must
• Experience of development on Windows and Linux/Unix platforms and techniques for cross platform development
• Knowledge of RDBMS
• Knowledge of GCC/MS Visual Studio compilers
• Flexibility in approach and able to take on different tasks
• Ability to create/work off a design specification
• Experience of test driven development (or at least experience of another kind of test focused development paradigm)
• Interest in programming languages and standards compliance
• C language knowledge

DESIRABLE SKILL:

• Experience of creating/modifying Makefiles
• Experience with Python
• C#
• Experience of SQL query/database development (this is basic SQL knowledge as opposed to a SQL Server developer type person)
• Project management experience
