Network Security Analyst (Intrusion, Detection, SIEM)

Working as part of a first class Security Operations Centre, responsible for the Network Intrusion Analysis in the team.

Key Responsibilities:

The Network/Security Analyst is responsible for identifying and investigating alerts or anomalies from a number of network security solutions using available tools and supporting teams to determine why events have occurred and triggering the appropriate response.

Skills & Experience:
* Experienced with network security monitoring
* Experience using Intrusion Detection Systems/Intrusion Protection Systems (IDS/IPS) to monitor and investigate attacks
* Experience of using Security Information and Event Management tools (SIEM) to monitor and investigate attacks

Desirable:
* Used Network analysis tools like network sniffers, TCPDUMP and packet analysis utilities
* Must have experience in analysing packet captures, security device logs and system logs to be able to re-construct and determine sequences of events/causes of incidents
* Must have experience working in an environment with robust change and incident processes
* Must be familiar and keep up to date with electronic threats, vulnerabilities and attacks

Qualifications:

CISSP, CISA, CEH, GIAC-GCIA would be advantageous
